Controller
The controller for this website is the provider named in the imprint of webdesk-pro.de (German), where you will also find the contact details for privacy questions.
Delivery of the site
This website is delivered through Netlify, Inc. (United States). When you open it, Netlify processes the technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, the time and the requested address, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. This involves a transfer to the United States.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no third-party content when you open it. Fonts, images and all other files come from our own server. The pictures of the projects are screenshots stored with us as well.
Your browser connects to another server only if you take part in the poll or open the live view of a project. Both are described below.
The “Pause motion” setting
If you pause the page's animations with the “Pause motion” button, your browser stores this setting locally (local storage, entry “wd-motion-paused”) so that it applies on the other pages too. The setting does not leave your device. You can remove it at any time with the same button or by deleting the site data in your browser.
No consent is required for this: under Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG the storage is permitted because it is strictly necessary to provide the function you explicitly asked for.
Poll
This page offers a short yes/no poll. Only if you take part in the poll does your browser connect to our programming interface: when you choose an answer, it sends the answer and the question's identifier to our server (api.qa.webdesk-pro.de) and receives the result so far. This necessarily transmits your IP address. The server of the programming interface is operated by netcup GmbH within the European Union.
We store only the number of yes and no votes per question and day. We do not store your IP address. To prevent an answer from being counted again and again and to fend off automated mass voting, we derive a non-reversible check value from your IP address and the question, using a random key that is created anew every day. The check value is stored separately from your answer and deleted together with the key, with the first request to the poll on the following day; after that it can no longer be linked to anyone. Rate limiting likewise uses only such check values, deleted once they are older than two days, with the first counted request after that.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is an undistorted picture of opinion and protecting our service against abuse. You may object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). Taking part is voluntary; if you do not vote, nothing is sent. Since we cannot link check values to a person, we cannot answer requests about individual votes (Art. 11(2) GDPR).
The poll stores nothing in your browser (no cookies, no local storage). The results are not representative; percentages appear from 20 votes per question.
Live view of the projects
With “View live” you can open a project's website in a window on this page. Only when you do so does your browser load the site from the server of the business concerned, transmitting your IP address and the technically necessary connection data to that server, as with any website. The business is responsible for its site and everything it processes; its privacy policy applies. When you close the window, the embedded site is ended.
If a site does not allow embedding, the window shows a screenshot from our own server instead, and nothing is loaded from the business's site.
Clicking a project's address opens the business's website in a new tab; its privacy policy applies there too.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Please use the contact details in the imprint (German).
